Marketing prompts
Prompts for the many versions marketing needs, built to avoid invented proof and a bland, generic voice.
Marketing needs a lot of variations: headlines and subject lines to test, captions for every channel, messages for each step of a campaign, descriptions for every page. The prompts in this collection produce those drafts quickly and in a structured way, from value propositions and personas to newsletters, landing page plans, short video scripts, case studies, press releases and low-budget campaign ideas.
They are written to avoid the two classic problems of AI marketing copy. The first is invented proof: models readily write crowd-pleasing claims about happy customers and results nobody measured. Several prompts tell the model to use only results from your notes and to leave placeholders for quotes the customer must approve. The second is a bland, interchangeable voice. Pasting a few examples of writing you like, as the brand voice prompt does, fixes much of that.
One prompt uses image understanding: attach a draft ad and Llama 4 Maverick will tell you what draws the eye first and whether the message survives at small size. It sees only the image you attach, so add the platform and audience.
The chat cannot search the web and has a knowledge cut-off, so it can't tell you current trends, search volumes or what a competitor did this week. Bring that data yourself, for example by pasting competitors' own descriptions into the positioning prompt. For more workflows, see Llama chat for marketers, and try the Social Media Post tool for a quick single post.
How to adapt these prompts
- Name the audience and the one action you want from them.
- Give limits up front: character counts, platform, tone words.
- Ask for different angles, not near-identical variants, so tests teach you something.
- Paste examples you like, such as a past email that performed well, so new drafts match your voice.
- Read every claim before publishing and remove anything you cannot prove.
